“The Metal Lath Handbook” was written in an effort to aid in the understanding of this complicated cladding system. It contains information that should help even the most experienced lathing contractor or designer understand the proper installation of metal lath as intended by ASTM C1063, the metal lath installation specification. The book contains over 230 pages of information, photos, and details that contain information on almost all standard metal lath installations and sheds a great deal of light on standard industry practices and their relationship to appropriate ASTM specifications that govern them.

While many books have been published throughout the years dealing with lath and plaster or stucco applications, this is the first book available in decades (maybe the first ever) to deal exclusively with metal lath and its relationship to portland cement stucco. Not just a few chapters on lath, but an entire book dedicated to the understanding of this complicated installation.

The photos and details help to depict the proper way to install various components and also are used to show what can happen when components are improperly installed. In addition to lath and plaster installations, the author offers insight into the installation of lath to form shapes such as rocks or trees, tile installations and floor leveling using metal lath.
